A note from the Boone EDC: We enthusiastic support the South Village proposal in Zionsville. The development of the South Village will enhance the vitality of our community, but will also preserve and promote the unique charm and character of Zionsville’s beloved Main Street. We applaud the diligent efforts that have been undertaken to develop a town-led Planned Unit Development (PUD) framework that will establish and enforce development standards for the entire area. This approach ensures future structures and green spaces will align with Zionsville’s values and objectives while encouraging responsible growth and development. In addition to the emphasis on responsible urban planning and design, we also appreciate the desire to realign transportation infrastructure. This demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing current and future traffic challenges, enhancing accessibility and connectivity within Zionsville. Knowing what benefits Zionsville benefits all of Boone County, we wholeheartedly endorse this project and believe it represents a significant step forward for our entire community. I urge all stakeholders to support this project, recognizing its potential to further enhance our quality of life and bolster the appeal of Zionsville’s Village.
